Amazing BBQ in Oxford, ME
Dave and Marcia both have many years of restaurant experience. After they met in 2007, Dave shared his dream of opening his own BBQ restaurant with Marcia. They would spend hours talking about how it would be set up, what would be served, and how wonderful it would be!
However, life quickly changed in 2013. Dave was involved in a serious trucking accident that made him realize how short life is. He vowed to no longer take anything for granted and not to let anything stand in the way of his dreams any longer. He proposed to Marcia and they were married in August of 2015.

The newlyweds then began laying the foundation for Smokin’ Dave’s Backyard BBQ & Grill by preparing food for large groups of family members and friends, taking feedback at the same time.
With Dave taking care of the smoking and grilling and Marcia handling the baking, Smokin’ Dave’s Backyard BBQ & Grill officially became a business in 2015. After the opportunity of vending at Oxford Plains Dragway came along, a location was opened in South Paris that December. The Main Street location in Norway was renovated beginning in fall 2017 and the opening took place in June 2018.
After the sale of our beautiful Norway location, we transitioned to a food trailer in 2022. Look for us in the Oxford Hills area and follow us on Facebook for weekly location updates!
